Description
The purpose of the Training Programme is to develop a pipeline for key roles within Transnet Port Terminals (TPT) through a structured 12-month training programme. The programme seeks to place learners in specific areas within TPT according to their academic background, career aspirations and business requirements.
Location: Ngqura, South Africa
Preference will be given to candidates residing in the Buffalo City Municipality.
Duties
•Report incidents / accidents.
•Report daily operational occurrences.
•Follow on screen directives using Navis.
•Maintain work related radio communication.
•Handling of data terminals where applicable.
•Perform daily task as specified per equipment.
•Sign on to the terminal operating system (Navis).
•Adhere to terminal safety policies and procedures.
•Complete logbook as well record equipment defects.
•Acknowledge task complete at end of instruction cycle.
•Handle commodities in line with daily operational requirements
•Operation of safety equipment when required (fire extinguisher).
•Monitor equipment performance during operation to establish defects.
Requirements
•Grade 12/ Matric
•Must have valid Code EB Drivers license
•Advantageous: TVET N6 in Logistics/Transport)
