The Department of Defence is offering Registry ClerkPosition to support daily office operations within the department. The role involves performing general administrative duties such as managing correspondence, maintaining records and filing systems, capturing data, and assisting with office coordination tasks. Successful candidates will contribute to ensuring efficient and organised administrative processes while gaining valuable experience in a structured government environment.

•Grade 12 (NQF L4) or equivalent qualification

Duties
•Continuous review of procedures
•Answer enquiries wrt the correct use of file references
•Execute all administrative tasks wrt record system maintenance
•Identify and review all current recordkeeping and management procedures
•Administer clients’ requests for amendments to classification systems
•Manage Records Classification Systems (DoD File Plan & retention schedules)
•Develop and amend records management guidelines to support DoD requirements
•Maintain paper-based master copies by adding additions and amendments as needed
•Ensure electronic and paper-based classification systems are always synchronized
