Description
Sasria SOC Ltd is offering a Claims Learnership programme aimed at providing unemployed youth with practical experience in the insurance and risk management sector. Learners will gain hands-on exposure in administration and claims processing, liaise with agencies and brokers to facilitate efficient communication, and perform various ad hoc tasks to support the claims team.

Requirements
•Must have Grade 12 / Matric certificate
•No experience required
Duties
Administration and Claims Processing
•Perform document diary maintenance on IMS system
•Escalate complex and contentious claims to Supervisor
•Examine and validate new claims and related documentation
•Handle all customer enquiries and queries promptly in-line with policy
•Adjust claims and ensure merits are in line with Sasria policy cover
•Update notes on the system regularly to reflect latest status of claim
•Perform admin functions – registration of new claims and loading payments
•Approve claims within delegated authority after verification of all documents
•Inform underwriting of gaps in cover, omitted documents, and premium issues
•Ensure appropriate documents support quantum and calculations are correct
•Update reserves per policy and follow up on outstanding proof of quantum
•Manage external resources and handle claims within required Sasria procedures
•Exercise judgment to analyze exposure and settle claims within delegated authority
Agency / Broker Liaison
•Negotiate the settlement of claims
•Update all relevant stakeholders on the progress of the claim
•Liaise with Agent companies and brokers regularly on claim progress
Ad Hoc Tasks
•Perform any reasonable tasks as and when required by the Line Manager
