The Department of Land Reform and Rural Development invites unemployed youth to apply for the following Government entry level for Supply Chain Clerk position.

Requirements: Grade 12/ Senior Certificate. No previous experience required.
Duties
•Place orders.
•Verify asset register.
•Place orders for goods.
•Request and receive quotations.
•Issue and receive bid documents.
•Render logistical support services.
•Compile draft documents as required.
•Render asset management clerical support.
•Register suppliers on LOGIS or similar system.
•Render demand and acquisition clerical support.
•Capture specification on the electronic purchasing system.
•Compile and maintain records (e.g. asset records / databases).
•Update and maintain a supplier (including contractors) database.
•Identify redundant, nonserviceable and obsolete equipment for disposal.
•Check and issue furniture, equipment and accessories to components and individuals.
•Provide secretariat or logistical support during the bid consideration and contracts process.

•Computer literacy.

•Planning and organisation.
•Ability to work within a team.
•Communication (verbal and written).
•Basic knowledge of work procedures in terms of the working environment.
•Basic knowledge and understanding of legislative framework governing the Public Service.
