Rand Water is offering Water and Wastewater Treatment Learnerships that combines classroom training with practical experience at operational facilities. The programme equips learners with essential skills in water treatment processes, safety standards, and plant operations, helping them build recognised qualifications and improve their career prospects in the water services sector.
Location: Johannesburg, South Africa
Duties
•Conducting basic laboratory tests
•Completing assignments and projects as required
•Monitoring water and wastewater quality parameters
•Attending classes as part of the learnership programme
•Participating in discussions and activities during classes
•Assisting in the maintenance of equipment and instruments
•Participating in water and wastewater sampling and analysis
•Writing assessments and practical logbooks to evaluate understanding
•Assisting in the operation and maintenance of water/wastewater treatment plants
Requirements
•Applicants must not be employed.
•Applicants must be a South African citizen and possess a valid SA ID.
•Applicants must be between 18 and 35 years of age (in line with NSDSIII).
•Matric (Grade 12) with Mathematics and Physical Science (Minimum Level 3).
•Must not be enrolled with any institution or registered in any other Learnership.
•Must not have a completed post-matric qualification (Failure to disclose results in disqualification).
