Join GSK South Africa as a Finance Graduate supporting the local Finance team and commercial partners. You will help keep our financial processes accurate and timely, support month-end reporting, and assist with payments and reconciliations.
Location: Johannesburg, Gauteng
Duties
•Assist with forecasting and annual budgeting for headcount, capex and other operational costs.
•Communicate financial information clearly to non-finance stakeholders to enable timely decisions.
•Process payment packs, prepare general ledger postings and submit them to shared services on time.
•Monitor and follow up on distributor documents and overdue accounts to support working capital targets.
•Support controls, audits and standard operating procedures to strengthen compliance and improve processes.
•Support month-end close activities including preparing journals, reconciliations and sales reconciliations.
•Maintain trackers and reports such as headcount, Opex and advertising & promotion spend, and support narrative commentary.
Qualifications
•Right to work in South Africa.
•Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and common office tools.
•Strong attention to detail and accuracy in reconciliations and reporting.
•Basic understanding of accounting principles and month-end processes.
•Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Economics or a related field.
•Up to 2 years’ experience in finance, accounting or related roles, or recent graduates with relevant internship experience.
Preferred Qualifications
•Experience with ERP systems such as SAP, JDE or similar.
•Working knowledge of IFRS or management accounting concepts.
•Familiarity with financial reporting tools or experience building simple dashboards.
•Clear communication skills and ability to explain numbers to non-finance colleagues.
•Experience in payments processing, creditor reconciliations or receivables management.
•Interest in professional finance qualifications (for example CIMA, ACCA) or actively working towards one.
